Pruning
We offer a variety of pruning methods to suit your goals:
-
Crown cleaning: removes dead and defective branches.
-
Structural pruning: corrects problematic growth, such as codominant stems and over-extended limbs.
-
Raising: increases clearance for structures and access
-
Thinning: increases light penetration and air movement.
-
Pollarding: highly constrains growth and flower production.
Using spikeless climbing techniques, we try to make cuts that are few, small, and fast-healing. More generally, we respect the guidelines of ISA's Best Management Practices: Tree Pruning (2008) and the associated ANSI standards.
