We offer a variety of pruning methods to suit your goals:

  • Crown cleaning to remove dead and defective branches.

  • Raising to increase clearance for structures and access

  • Restoring trees that have been damaged by storms or pruning malpractice, such as topping.

  • Thinning to increase light penetration and air movement.

  • Pollarding for highly constrained growth and flower production.

Using spikeless climbing techniques, we try to make cuts that are few, small, and fast-healing. More generally, we respect the guidelines of ISA's Best Management Practices: Tree Pruning (2008) and the associated ANSI standards.
