We believe trees offer valuable opportunities for recreation, fitness, meditation or work. For these reasons, we believe tree climbing should be as ubiquitous as riding a bike. Our mission is to help our community learn to safely climb & appreciate these beautiful structures.
Splicing is the preferred rope termination method. Knots can significantly decrease a ropes strength while, in most cases, splicing maintains 100% of the specified rope strength. Splice terminations are widely used in the tree care industry for supporting climbers & lowering tree parts. For these reasons, we believe rope splicing instruction & guidance should be available to all folks who work & play among the trees.
Saw Safety & Maintenance
This class is perfect for someone who owns a chainsaw or is planning on owning one in the near future. You'll learn chainsaw safety, how to start a saw, proper maintenance (including sharpening!) & common cutting techniques that every small landowner should know. Our mission is to empower our community to safely accomplish their personal cutting goals.
